How to Replace the Ballast

The Tools You Need

Step 1. Remove the panels
What you need
- A Phillips screwdriver
- Remove the screws from the front and side panels.
- Take off the panels to access the inside.
Step 2. Locate and Remove the Ballast
What you need
- A Phillips screwdriver
- Find the ballast on the motherboard.
- Unplug the connector (usually labeled
J2
). - Remove the ballast.
Step 3. Install the New Ballast
What you need
- A Phillips screwdriver
- Plug in the new ballast.
- Secure it in place.
Step 4. Reinstall the Panels
Reverse the steps in Step 1 to put the panels back.
Step 5. Power On and Test
Turn on the machine and check if it works properly. If you have any issues, contact customer support.
