How long will it take to turn my food waste into compost?

It usually takes 6 to 8 hours to break down food waste, but tougher items like orange peels may take longer. While it takes a few days for the waste to turn into compost, it is not fully ready until after 45 days.

Does it smell? How often should I replace the carbon filter?

It doesn't smell because it uses metal ion catalytic oxidation to neutralize odors. No carbon filters are required, so there's no need for replacement.

How often should I clean the bin?

There is no need to clean the bin, but you should remove the compost when the paddle is buried. Always leave some compost in the bin for the microbes to reproduce.
