Amazon Drops Ambitious "Shipment Zero" Plan to Achieve 50% Net Zero Carbon Emissions in Transportation by 2030
Amazon has given up on a key part of its climate pledge, Shipment Zero, which aimed to make 50% of all Amazon shipments net-zero carbon by 2030.
The company said that it no longer made sense to have a separate goal for Shipment Zero, as it was already working towards net-zero carbon emissions across its entire business.
However, some environmental groups have criticized the decision, saying that it shows that Amazon is not serious about its climate commitments.
